Quick Summary, Where You Went, What You Did.
We took three weeks off and travelled to Tanzania. Hiring a private guide and driver. We visited Tarangire Park, then on to Ngorongoro Crater for a few days and then camping in the Serengeti. After two weeks more or less living out of the back of a safari suv, we had a lay over on Zanzibar to hit the beaches and wander Stone Town. Flying back through Europe we stopped in Provence for five days renting a car and exploring the hilltop villages.
Where Did You Stay:
Tented Camps, Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, Best Western Aix-En-Provence
A Honeymoon Typically Suggests A Spurge On Food And Wine, Care To Share?
A BBQ that we found out in the Luberon. Who knew that the French could make good short ribs?
If There Had To Be One, Best Memory…
– Seeing the look on Maria’s face when she realized exactly what “camping in the Serengeti” meant.
– Drinking Konyagi with our guide on the last night in the Serengeti
– The beat up old Alfa Romeo we borrowed from our friend Jacques in Aix-En-Provence
Who Planned This Whole Thing?
We did it together, obviously a trip of a lifetime, we both had to go back to work almost as soon as we got home so we really wanted to do it up right.

Roll with the punches, have fun, don’t stress. Same advice to any newly married couple.
