Any mention of Key West probably conjures to the mind any number of colorful architypes – the drunken college kid on Duval Street, others pouring out of bars with rock music blaring, the parade of cruise ship tourists, bad t-shirt and souvenir shops, more or less like most Caribbean islands – and you would be right, it’s all there, that’s the dominant image of Key West and it’s probably not going to change any time some. However if you thought that was it and had written of the little Island as a no-mans land to avoid. Well, there’s another side to the Island that is well worth a second consideration.
Key West has a less publicized, more sophisticated? Menh, how about, less debaucherous side that I’ve come to know and love over the past couple of years.
